At Complete K9 we follow all Service dog related Guidelines set up by the American's with Disabilities Act. To join our program we require a Doctors and or Therapist recommendation letter that states that you are a good candidate, and are both physically and mentally sound enough to care for the dog.
All of our Dog's are individually trained for their specific Handler's needs. We go above and beyond with training your companion to help you on the daily, teaching Obedience firstly the dog will move up to task work to help the handler both in home, and out of home. We train for both basics, and advanced Obedience in our program, our dog's end the classes working offleash and under distraction to create the best partner for you as the handler.
Our dog requirements are as stated...
-2 Years of age or younger, we are out to serve you as best we can. Service training take's time, as does breaking habit's that a dog can pick up as it ages.
-Minimum size we train for Service work is around that of a Beagle, in most cases anything smaller does not have the size needed to preform the tasks that are needed to help the handler.
-Prospect dog must be calm and confident, no aggression issues, sound sensitivities, and no fear of heights.
NOT ALL DOGS WILL MAKE IT THROUGH THE COURSE, we are not breed specific at Complete.
